Preservation Campaign

Dear Camp Friends,

There are so many amazing things about Camp Interlaken that have stood the test of time: lifelong friendships, buddy tags, joyful Judaism, tushball, sunsets over Lake Finley… the list is endless. I’m sure you have things on your list that I haven’t even thought of!

There are a few things about Camp, though, that haven’t been as lucky. We have come so far on our journey to preserve Camp for the future, but we aren’t done yet. Those cozy cabins that sheltered us, were “cleaned” by us, were tattooed by us and bore witness to thousands of Interlaken campers have seen better days.

Some of our beloved cabins need a facelift and some need to be rebuilt. We hope you will consider a donation today to protect Asher, Gad, Reuben and the rest of the cabins from further ravages of time. This is our most important last step as we reach Camp’s milestone 50th Summer and we come together to celebrate all that Camp means to us and how lucky we are that it is stronger than ever – inspiring our children and grandchildren.

Thank you so much for your love and support of Camp Interlaken. Please help us reach our goal by digging deep and giving generously. Let’s keep Camp Interlaken beautiful, strong and thriving for the next 50 years and more.

B’Shalom

preservationSix words might seem incredibly limiting, but they can also be very profound. After all, six words are all it takes to say “Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad.” Could you describe Camp in six words?

Our six words are: “CAMP INTERLAKEN MAKES MAGIC EVERY DAY.” From new friends to new skills; from leaps in independence to discovering a love and pride in their Judaism; Interlaken campers experience magical summers that help form them into amazing people. The magic, the lessons and the relationships become a part of their soul and remain life-long connections to this sacred place.

We all feel it — whether we were lucky enough to live the magic as campers, make the magic as staff, or bask in the glow of our own children who are campers as they share their magical moments with us. There are few things better than being lucky enough to be an Interlaken camper or staff, but being a parent or grandparent of one comes pretty close. Life around us moves so fast, but Camp still does the best job of letting kids be kids as long as possible.

It’s up to us to keep the magic alive. Join us in our goal to preserve Camp so that we can make Interlaken magic for generations to come. Our families have made a financial commitment to Camp’s Bridge to Our Future Preservation Campaign. The entire Camp Committee, the Fundraising Committee, the Interlaken staff and several dedicated Camp families have already pledged their commitment to Camp. It will take all of us to ensure that our children and their children will be singing “B’nai He Atid” (children of our future), playing tushball and enjoying Lake Finley forever.

We gratefully acknowledge our campaign donors who have made commitments that, at this point, bring us to almost $3 million dollars of our $4 million goal. Click here to see our full donor list. We hope you will join us in the final stretch and make your donation today!
