Praise From a First Time Family
Written by Melissa Hogendorp
This past summer, my 9-year-old daughter Mallory attended Camp Interlaken JCC for the first time. I honestly didn’t know much about the camp before she left, but I haven’t stopped raving about it ever since I got the chance to see it for myself. Holly, Toni, and all the staff were so incredibly welcoming to both Mallory and me as we walked around the grounds. I learned why this has become such a special place for my daughter and I feel so lucky to have met the people that have made a positive impact on her Jewish identity.

I’d like to give a huge shout out to Camp Interlaken JCC in Eagle River, WI. My daughter attended this summer (first session). This week, we happened to be in the area on vacation so she wanted me to stop by to show me around. Honestly, they could not have been more welcoming, friendly, and warm to both of us. Everyone stopped to say hello to her and they even let her go water skiing so I could watch her do it. I did no research before sending her to camp, but it was the best decision. If you’re thinking about overnight camp, consider Interlaken. I’m absolutely blown away!
