Welcoming Camp Interlaken’s New Director

Dear Camp Interlaken Community,

This past fall, I let you know that while I would remain very involved with camp as its Executive Director, I would be shifting my focus to Interlaken’s long-term strategic growth and sustainability, including fundraising, alumni engagement, and master facility planning. At that time, I shared that we would be hiring a Camp Director, and I am thrilled to let you know that Ari Domnitz has accepted the role of Camp Director of the Steve & Shari Sadek Family Camp Interlaken JCC!

Many of you may already know Ari. He is an Interlaken alum, a longtime member of our Camp Committee, a Family Camp participant, and, along with his wife Angie, a proud camp parent. His son, Jakob, has been both a camper and staff member, and his daughter, Lucy, was a camper in K’far Noar this past summer. Camp Interlaken has shaped his family, just as it has shaped many of ours.

Ari brings more than two decades of senior leadership experience to Interlaken: managing complex operations, mentoring staff, and creating strong, people-centered cultures. He has opened and led successful businesses, supervised diverse teams, navigated a multitude of challenges, and built organizations rooted in accountability and excellence. Throughout our search process, what stood out most was his leadership presence, humility, work ethic, and deep love for our camp. Ari understands and appreciates that camp is about relationships, responsibility, and Jewish values.

Ari will begin his tenure on March 2nd, and he and I will spend the coming months working side by side to ensure a thoughtful onboarding and strong preparation for the summer. He will be supported by our experienced leadership team, our incredible returning staff, and by me every step of the way.

As I indicated in my fall email, I am not going anywhere. I will continue to spend my summers in Eagle River and work closely with Ari year-round to guide and support camp’s vision, leadership team, and overall direction. I am very much looking forward to partnering with him as we lead Camp forward.

Camp Interlaken has thrived for more than 60 years because of this community and because of your trust, partnership, and belief in what our Jewish camp does for young people. I feel confident about Interlaken’s future, and I am grateful that we are entering it together.

Please join me in welcoming Ari to the Interlaken team!

With gratitude,

Toni Davison Levenberg
