Frequently Asked Questions

We recognize these are difficult economic times (for our families and for Camp Interlaken). We want to remain financially sensitive and offer a range of options to meet the various needs of our community.

Don’t worry, we have thought about you! We know that many of you were looking forward to receiving your 3-year shirt, 5-year long sleeve, 10-year jacket, or 13-year robe. When you return to Camp in 2021 or any future summer, you will receive “credit” for that year, as well as 2020. So, for example, if a camper was supposed to get a 3-year shirt in 2020 and they attend Camp in 2021, they will get their 3-year shirt AND consider 2021 to be their fourth summer. If 2020 was supposed to be their fourth summer, they will still get their 5-year long sleeve in summer 2021!

The 2021 dates are published.  The prices for 2021 will be updated before registration opens in September.  Click here for the dates.

Registration for Camp Interlaken 2021 will begin sometime in September. Over the summer, we will send emails to let our families know when they can begin to register for 2021.

No, the deposit will come from the credit on your account.

Scholarship needs may vary from year to year. You may have a larger need next year or not need as much. We want to be able to work with you based on your current need. We will do our best to simplify the process for those whom we granted scholarships this year, but we will need to obtain necessary information in order to award scholarships for the 2021 summer.

We are working with OHC providers in all of our catchment areas (like JUF or the Milwaukee Jewish Federation) about how we can best implement the OHC program for campers who applied in 2020 and will now have their first summer at Interlaken in 2021. As we receive this information, we will share it with our families.

Camp Interlaken has been and will continue to provide virtual engagement and content. We are exploring a variety of ways to give our campers and families opportunities to stay connected to Camp through the summer and beyond. We will continue to share updates with you as we have more information in the coming weeks. For more information please visit this link here.

Yes!  We are working closely with our partners at Rainbow Day Camp to share opportunities with you.  As soon as we have more information, we will share it with you.

Camp Interlaken operates in its own CampMinder system, and your payments cannot be transferred.

Now more than ever, Camp Interlaken could benefit from your support.  With the ongoing operational costs, facility maintenance, staffing costs, and impact of the hundreds of thousands of dollars already spent towards the summer,  and more, we are looking ahead to Summer 2021 and beyond to ensure the continuity of our program.  If you are able to make a donation of any size, we would appreciate your contribution.  Click here to donate to Camp.

We know that for this age group this news is especially disappointing. We are planning for an 11th Grade K’far Noar program as well as an Israel Trip for 2021.  We hope you will consider joining one or both of these summer experiences.  More information will come in early fall about these options.

In the Summer of 2021, we will accept first-time rising 6th graders into our two-week program.  They will be placed in a cabin with other incoming 6th graders.
